Spring Has Sprung Contest Winner!

I know you have all been waiting on pins and needles to see who would win the Spring Has Sprung Photo Contest over at One Creative Housewife

The winner couldn't be cuter!

I am excited to make his Monster Crayon Roll!

Especially because this morning my Hubster was able to drill a hole in his beautiful newly built table so my sewing cord could finally fit.  I think his heart broke a little bit.

Now if I could just find my motivation.... I know I left it around here somewhere...

Picnic at the Park

I had a fabulous Mother's Day yesterday!

The hubster took the monitor Saturday night - that rivals the massage gift card he gave me - and I slept really well.  Only one nursing wake up from Little One.  Awesome.

The girls got me chocolates - heh, good luck losing the rest of that baby weight - and tulips (my faaavorite) from the hubster.

Then we enjoyed the beautiful day having a picnic at a local park.  We ate.  Flew a kite.  And played on the swings, etc.

I mean honestly, can she get any cuter?!
 She was soooooooo excited!
And then Little One took a nap and Big One rode her trike with Daddy!

It was a fabulous day.  I am so very blessed.

I hope each of you mommies out there had a wonderful day and felt incredibly appreciated.  It is tough work doing what we do every day!

Not around much

Things have been hectic around here.  The hubster is working a strange schedule to get some qualifications complete.  I'm wrangling the two girls by myself most days.  The hubster's Grandmother has been very ill for the last two months.  She was medically transported to be near my In-Laws a couple weeks ago.

The hubster and I decided it would be a good idea to travel to them in order to visit.  It had been years since his last visit with her.  I had never met her, and obviously the girls hadn't either.

It was a nice visit.  I'm glad we went.  I think it was important.  And nice for the girls to meet their Great Grandmother.

She passed away early Saturday morning.

If you are the praying type, we'd appreciate prayers for the hubster's family.

We are still waiting to hear the details on the service.  So yes.  Hectic.

I'm hoping by Monday things will be back to something resembling "normal."  Heh.

Fingers crossed.

And with that, I say Thank You!

Big news today!  Well.... last night really.

Osama bin Laden is dead.  Finally.  And I, for one, could not be happier.  I know that doesn't mean the war is over.  I know that it probably won't change the situation for our military overseas.  But I do feel like justice was finally served.

Obama did a good job delivering the message.  If you missed it, look here.

My husband served in the military.  He deployed a few times, all after September 11, 2001.  Only once while we were married.  Very newly married.  I am proud of the work that he did.  Very proud.

So today I say thank you.  Thank you to those who served.  Thank you to those who supported the ones who served.  Here is your justice.
